A Quick Look at Monasterio de Tarlac

Monasteryo De Tarlac - The Reporter's Assistant

"Its natural cool mountain air, the 30-foot colossal statue of catholic's Jesus Christ overseeing the city, the natural springs and the wild life. There's no mistaking it, this is the Monasterio de Tarlac."
- Merinissa

Monasteryo de Tarlac is located at brgy. Lubigan, San Jose, Tarlac. It is a sanctuary for the religious devotees of Catholics in Central Luzon.

It is said to hold a broken piece of the True Cross which was believed to be the cross upon which Jesus was crucified (similar to the photo below). Paris and Spain were said to have the other pieces as well.

"Kreuzpartikel" or fragment of True Cross in the Schatzkammer (Vienna).

My wife with some friends visited the place. Tarlac province is next to Nueva Ecija and the road going there is quite easy to trek. For this trip, her boss provided a Fortuner 2010 model which my wife said was very comfortable car for the journey.

The Monasterio de Tarlac is inside the 278-hectare Tarlac Ecotourism Park, a park which was developed by the former governor turned congressman Jose Yap. It has become a tourist attraction for its natural cool mountain air, the 30-foot colossal statue of catholic's Jesus Christ overseeing the city, the natural springs and the wild life. Some place in the monastery can let you see the magnificent views of the mountain ranges which outlines the towns of Tarlac.
